About Us
Our current story began brewing a few years ago with a strong mutual desire to see the world around us and the pressing need for an overall lifestyle change.
The long work weeks and tiring commutes had lost their value and resembled more of a vicious cycle for both of us rather than ardent career path.
Burnt out yet enthusiastic, we decided early in 2021 to sell-off our ‘lives’ in New Hampshire, USA and take our chances living in Europe, centered around traveling with our Lab-mix rescue pup Sage.
Fast forward seven months, and our new lives in Leipzig, Germany were underway…or so we thought.
Staying in Germany proved a more involved task than we had originally anticipated so we hit the road again in search of our new “base of operations” in Europe.
Fortune and circumstance led us decide upon Sarande, Albania. We got out and have lived the best years of our lives; now we want to help show others that it is possible for anyone to do this too.
This blog is primarily our way of chronicling and sharing our experiences around the world with your pet in-tow. The world is increasingly opening up to travelers with pets, though it can be a tricky road to navigate between the different countries, cultures, and requirements – so our aim with Pets and Passports is to help anyone looking to travel with their pet(s) by sharing our exploits while hopping around the world with Sage.
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out our story.
There are other ways to live our lives beyond the immediate. Change is out there waiting for you; you need only take that leap. We are proof of that. Good luck on all your journeys and we are looking forward to helping in any ways that we can, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Happy traveling from us here at Pets and Passports!
